https://migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/commentaries/uk-election-2024-immigration-policy-tracker/It's quite interesting in there. A lot of the things labour voters have criticised are now not opposed by labour. Reading this with the exception of Rwanda there is very little difference.

Change needed. Right wing economic policies don't work.Ha Labour making a big noise about Prisons but when challenged Stammer ,admitted the Tories had already made Provision for and extra 10,000 prison places, by the way any new Labour Prisons won’t open for at least 6 years! That’s how long it takes to build a Brand new Prison

Syd, you find them, I know you want to, and go from 1990 and see who the joker was.
Selby, can you name all the immigration policies since 2010 (unless you meant forever) and then show how labour opposed it all.

That’s how long it takes to build a Brand new PrisonI'll have to be a bit pedantic here, Sproty. I worked as a site clerk on the new Doncaster Prison, and it took around 3 and a half years to complete; 6 months behind schedule.I take your point though, that overcrowded prisons can't be dealt with overnight.

Hi Syd the poor mans BST disciple, Blair was elected in !997 the biggest mistake he made for this country was in 2004 when he declared open house on students from 10 new members of the EU mostly eastern European countries with poor wage structures and working conditions and led to an large influx of cheap labour and dependants. In 2008 international students numbers doubled and dependants also given the right to enter the country and numbers have rose every year since except 2017 after the Brexit vote. As you well know every time the government sent a bill to the house of Lords for the last number of years especially under Boris Johnson concerning Brexit and Immigration the bills were defeated by a combination of Labour the Liberals and other parties voting against the government en block. The biggest rise in Emigration away from this country was in 1998/9 when the wealthy left the country as Blair had been elected something that will happen again probably starting in the autumn, as will big business.

Your not Hound, Syd the flounder is on the Beach with his gob open again. It is just his way, he either changes the subject or lashes out at someone else not mentioned in a thread, mostly me, I seem to be his ideal go to subject at times when someone has him for toast, which is quite often and easy, or just goes off on a tangent like going to another country. Rumour has it when he went to Australia five houses for sale in his street were taken off the market.
