New record for runs in one over today. Absolute carnage.

Look at the 'crowd'. How is County Cricket viable?

Always a good few days at Scarborough, couldn't make it this week but will be attending in August.

I saw when looking at this that 77 runs were deliberately given away in one over.

Think NZ involved but don't know why

How did this one happen because I figured 7 x 6 plus a no ball = 43

However I'm sure umpire signalled a 4 on at least one ball

So 40 off the over + 3 extras?

Forgive me but what does your tally add up to? Doesn't seem to match the figure 43. I don't play cricket so help me out here 43 off the over? How many did he actually score?

Two sixes
Five fours
One single

3x2 runs for no balls.

So 2x 6 =12     Running total 12 from 2 balls
     5x 4= 20.    Running total 32 from 7 balls
     1x 1 =  1.    Running total 33 from 8 balls
Not sure how you get ten more runs from that over and those numbers.

I've watched the clip over and over again. There's no way it was 43. There were definitely 9 balls delivered, and 37 runs knocked. With the 3 extras for the no balls, that's 40.

I'm perplexed.

Going on what runs bst posted above though six runs from three no balls still only adds up to 39.

Two sixes
Five fours
One single

3x2 runs for no balls.

So 2x 6 =12     Running total 12 from 2 balls
     5x 4= 20.    Running total 32 from 7 balls
     1x 1 =  1.    Running total 33 from 8 balls

You're right SS. There were 37 runs scored off the bat plus 3x2 runs for NBs. I'd missed a four in my earlier post.

The crucial bit was 2 for a No ball ? I've been used for Donkeys years that it was 1

So presumably changed recently and makes it 43

Link with video from You Tube. 17 no balls in total

https://youtu.be/pz4yGHSla9g?feature=shared

Amazingly if I hear correctly the Umpire(s) and presumably Scorer(s) lost count of the actual valid Balls delivered which seemed to have been just 5 not 6

That's not true, as no balls score 2 in the championship,
