Good news; Mark has signed an extension don't know why it hasn't been publicised guess our media team are busy what with how incredibly hectic it is at the moment.

Are you 'in the know' like?

If so, what is the situation with Hayts and Oster?

I know you would not be the type to speculate on dodgy information so I trust this to be true, and I sincerely hope it's the same case for Oster and Hayter. Wilson earned his new contract with a good end to the season.

Totally agree put in some really dependable performances Oster will sign expect our media team to lurch back into action with news of said info, Hayter will also sign as his preferred move southwards cannot yield the same financially as he's used to here talking about the Cherries

I noticed it in the Star when I stopped at the petrol station this morning but can't find it on the star website or anywhere else!!

Hopefully the media team will get up sometime today. Perhaps having a sleep in after the weekend.

Wilson has indeed been confirmed by The Star, which also suggests Oster is part of the midfield for next season. http://www.thestar.co.uk/rovers/Mark-signs-new-deal.6331908.jp

Hopefully the Tuesday morning alarm will sound for the official website soon!

I certainly hope this is true, would be nice for DROS to confirm it mind. Ya know I don't think I'd mind if Willo stayed here the rest of his career and then joined the coaching staff (maybe even a potential future manager?) he's become one of my favourite players for the Rovers in the last two years.

I don't think there's any secret that I'm a big Mark Wilson fan.  So for me this is great news.  I think it's fantastic that a player like him who does a great job and just gets on with it will be staying.  He's not bothered that he's basically a back up player and even SOD has said that, but he's a professional and seems like someone you'd want in your squad.  I'd like him to stay and be blooded as a player coach, he seems knowledgeable in interviews and potentially that can be a benefit to us.

\"We recommended him to a few people but we also expressed to Mark that we'd like to keep him on board

Why would we recommend him to other clubs if we wanted to keep him?

I bet we`ve recommended Billy to Leeds and Derby as well

It can be tough getting up for work after a long bank holiday weekend. Hopefully the media team will put the news on the official website sometime today, if not there's always tomorrow. At least we have local newspapers and the like.

Because we couldn't guarantee him first team football, he probably wanted to see what other options he had I suppose.

And he may get 3yrs elsewhere with a view to a coaching role. That said, 2 yrs is good for Mark at DRFC........hopefully the computers have been switched on now in the media office, after a few days welcome break from all the updates and media work, and this will be on DROS very shortly.

Sometime in the next 6 months then, but, it`s understandable when everyone is focused on getting the Parker Pen to join  ;)
