Southampton sniffing around Stock again

Southampton boss Alan Pardew is lining up a double swoop for Doncaster midfielder Brian Stock and Bristol Rovers starlet Chris Lines.

Pardew is looking for midfield reinforcements with French Under-20 ace Morgan Schneiderlin set to join St Etienne.

Former Bournemouth star Stock came close to joining Saints in January but Doncaster's asking price was too high, while Lines only signed a new contract at Rovers at the turn of the year.

I'd sell him for the right price.

If the bid was around £1M I'd let him go.

If Le Fondue set is worth £2-3m Stock is worth more, now an established Welsh International  ;)

Obviously Le Fondre's value is over-inflated. I'd be surprised if anyone offered serious money of over £800,000 for him.

As for Stock, we seemed to manage quite well last season without him last season and if the money went towards getting Mr Sharp, I think it's reasonable.

Would this 'established' international drop down to L1? If the money was right...as always  ;)

Let's not get into daft talk of selling Stock, we're building a team, not taking one apart!

If the price is right, i'd want more then £1,000,000, I'd want at least £1.3m and a player so we can adequetely add more players to our squad

Didnt Leeds value Kilkenny at 3m recently?

Going by that we should be telling Southampton £6m if they come calling again.

with Stocks valuation look at the factors

International as well as domestic Appearances, Goals, Assists, how many Man of the Match's, etc

So he is definatly worth 4-6m if Kilkenny is 3m

Kilkenny isnt valued at 3mil, that was all paper nonsense that even all the Leeds fans balked at, even though he's a good player.

I really can't see Stock dropping a league, just as I said in January. It would take a substantial offer to prise him away anyway, SOD doesn't pick him first on the team sheet when he's fit for nothing. It is a cast-iron guarantee that he plays when he is available, and he is captain. We wouldn't let him go for less than what we sold Mills for at the very least.
