Listening to trax fm yesterday in car.    

The advertisements came on and wow i could not belive it jr was talking about drfc and how people should get down to watch us.
Points he made.

We play football like arsenal,barca and brazil.
Anything is possible.
The board have shown ambition in signing a 1m player.
We have a nice stadium
Came a long way.
With players like billy sharp who knows what can happen.
Get down to the keepmoat if you want to watch real football.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Those that have been critical of rovers advertising really need to eat some humble pie...

Why do they? not everyone listens to Trax FM. Do you see any advertising on the big billboards around town?

No but come on its a step forward surely.
The club could improve but so could every club in the football world at something.

Maybe explains why we don't have billboards plastered around town!!

Were slowly building our fanbase, I don't think that billboards and radio ads are going to get bums on seats, as weve found on this forum, were all introducing friends and family to the Rovers. This is how we will build our fanbase and get proper fans.

Maybe 10 games in when were sitting pretty at the top of the league people will start flocking in their thousands!!

But it's old hat, how long can we spin the 'come along way' line? They want new fans to start turning up but then put the price of tickets up, it's not gonna happen doing that. I understand that the wage bill needs paying for, but they need to make it look financially attractive for the new fans. The likes of us will pay it as Rovers are already a huge part of our lives but the typical arm chair fan will not pay those prices.

I think Ibrahimovic is the most overvated player in my life time, how Barcelona paid £30m plus Eto, Inter must of been p1ssing themselves

I've seen Leeds do them, but is it really relevent if another club has done it? It's about making the DONNY public more aware. Look how bad traffic is on Balby road, York road, Trafford Way, Wheatley Hall road and Thorne road, surely a few big advertising boards along these routes would reach a lot of people when they are stuck in rush hour traffic.

I'll tell you what woudn't cost that much. One of those billboards that sits on a trailer. Then pay someone to pull it round town and the outskirts behind their car/van or whatever.

Take it to the masses.
