Don't think he'll get in the team in a hurry.

Gillett and Payne are both ahead of him in the pecking order, IMO.

I'm talking about the pecking order for that job of breaking up the play, and making the simple passes. Gillett, Wilson, and Payne are the trio who are in contention for that role. Woods and Shiels have completely different roles.

I bet SOD doesn't agree with you. Why the hell would Payne be ahead of him? He's played once, did well against a League 2 side and got injured.

That's why I put IMO = in MY opinion.

From what I have seen, Payne looks a better player.

Tin hat time for me!

Sorry, I did miss the 'IMO'!

Personally I prefer Wilson but we've not seen much of Payne, he's got time to develop yet.

Confirmed in Free Press both Wilson AND Oster back in training and could be in contention for Hull game.

With Oster back in we're getting really close to what should be our first choice line up (Chambers & Hayter apart).

Shite - I forgot about him! Ha! Shows what such a long time on the sidelines can do to doddery old fans' memories! Ha! Yeah fully fit, Brooker would be nailed on in the squad!
Not sure who I'd leave out tho' on current showings I'd have to say one of Shiels or Woods (M) - possibly Shiels!

to be fair, i doubt youv ever seen a fully fit brooker play, well not in the last 3 years anyway, so what makes you so convinced he will easily be good enough for the first 11?

from what iv seen, fully fit or not, doesnt look up to it even with time on the ball IMO

Yeah we know matey, if all players were fit and ready to play these would be our teams! Obviously with those boys injured it won't (possibly ever happen) but it's a theoretical team!

The point I was trying to make which appears to have been missed is that Oster is NOT injured, he joins full training on Monday and will be available for selection for the Hull game.

With Oster being a vital cog in our machine, this is great news.

Oster news certainly fantastic  - Lets see that dream midfield;-
Woods Stock Oster Copps

Certainly at home - away may be different, when you have to be more defensive.

i still think that 4-5-1 is the way to go with woods and copps making it 4-3-3 when we are going forward

or even 4-2-3-1 with woods oster and coppps behind billy gillet and stock in front of the back 4
