Did I imagine it, or did the 1st of Hulls subs take a note on to the pitch and give it to the captain, who read it while the 2nd sub was coming on. Never seen that happen before.

This happens quite often, in fact I've seen Hird come on as a sub many times with a piece of paper, go round a few players speaking to them, then throw the note on the floor.
