The England Kit - A New Order

Well at least Mr Saville has brought back the blue shorts. We haven't seen anything like that colour blue since the days of Keegan and Brooking though.

Not bad I guess.

Can't help thinking the shirt would look better with four or five red, elongated, horizontal rectangles, stretching from front to back though.

(and a Viking logo instead of those daft lions).

Another attempt from the tossers to exploit the fans. For years they've brought the new kit out alternating between home and away on St Georges Day, now it seems when apathy has never been greater towards the corporate whores in white they decide to throw a new home kit out 4 months after the new away kit and 8 months before it was due by their own 'rules'.

Inspired by the increasingly diverse fabric of England, the design takes the traditional St. George’s cross and reinterprets it as a reoccurring motif in four different colours – the traditional red, blue and green which feature in England’s three lions crest, plus a blend of all three which comes out as a striking purple.

What a load of b*llocks!

Players names will appear within the fabric, to underline how they’re a part of the fabric of modern England.

Alternatively they could have loads of little pictures of lady bits to underline how the players are a set of Kitsons.

Alongside established names such as Rooney and Joe Hart

I'm a big Joe Hart fan but I wouldn't say he's established.

I agree with this most:

Yes I’m all for change etc but football has turned soft enough already and this is a step far too far.

Too bloody true!

Why don't we bring out a England shirt wih red dye down the front similar to Terry Butcher's efforts? Comes with a free bandage.  :woohoo:

Couldn't agree more, I usually buy the new England shirt on release day but this takes the piss. As you say they used to release a new shirt on St George's Day every year, home one year and away the next so each shirt lasted 2 years. They then began to edge the change earlier and earlier to coincide with when England were playing (I think the new red one came out in March when we played Egypt) but this is just ridiculous! I definitely won't be buying it, although I might buy a few of the 'old' one for my 5 a side team when they are flogging it for a fiver a time!

I'm absolutely dismayed that Peter Saville has been involved yet there are no black and yellow diagonal stripes anywhere.

Does the kit have \"FAC'd off\" on the label?
