I suppose thats part of it, the \"never been before\" untapped seam.  There is also the \"would love to go but money is tight\" group, and the \"need to take the whole family out for the day but the cinema is better value\" group.  All three groups offer the chance for repeat business IF the price is right.

This recession, coming on the back of a sustained period of growth, has made a lot of people look long and hard at their expenditure, and football has been reclassified for many from an automatic choice to a dispensable luxury. I remember a discussion on here about the relative inelasticity of ticket prices when the team is doing well - effectively that folks would pay a premium to see a successful team play.  The events in the global economy of the past 18 months have blown that one out of the water.  Clubs need to react positively to this new (and hopefully temporary) operating environment, and the price reduction for these upcoming games is hopefully the start of that.

As someone on there has pointed out, the title of the piece needs to be pushing the cheaper prices, not give you the info AFTER you click it.

Come on Rovers!  Missing a trick here.

Well I now plan to take BOTH my boys to one of these. It'll be Leo's second game and Charlie's first. Good times.

Myself and four other exiles living in lincolnshire were all season ticket holders up to two seasons ago. Since then it has been a case of pick and choose matches to make the best of affordability. Last season away at watford and qpr being two good examples.
We shall all be coming to the millwall and swansea games - and bringing others with us. But i am sorry - the prices for the sheff u and derby games are just daft - so we will not be there. Oh and we have tickets for scunny away. It hurts the heart to avoid going to see rovers but with ticket prices the way they are something has to give.

See your point makes perfect sense, but then you buy tickets to Scunny away (at the same price as you can pay for derby games and with the magic 8 it can be as cheap as 18 pounds). In a way goes against your price argument.

Are you aware of the Magic 8 ?

Incidentally, have you at any point been contacted by the club about you not renewing ?
