Taking my lad to his first game today

Taking my lad to his first game today.

It has raised some questions:

Can you \"enjoy\" football whilst supervising a three year old?
Will I be able to not shout rude words out.
What to do if he wants to leave after five minutes?

1. Yep, you pretty much forget they're there.

2. No, your lad will be swearing like a trouper by the time he's 4.

3. Tell him you'll buy him a happy meal after the game.

Certainly, but in my experience 3 yr olds are not known for their patience and can get bored quite easily. If in doubt, throw a bag of hoola hoops at him to keep him quiet during slow periods of the game.

f**k em. He'll learn lots of new words in time - why not at the Rovers?

Sweets/Crisps/Hot Dog/Drink plus added incentive of toy or similar after the game. Sadly, this is the difficult bit - and I've left after 10 minutes before now with crying youngster.

Hope you have a good one and get to see the game :)

He was fine with the delay, although it was not ideal.
When Rovers Scored it frightened him to death.

My daughter was 3 when she first went and we lasted until half time, although she really wanted to go after 25 minutes after the comic had been read and the crisp and coke consumed.

Thankfully his mum was at the Outlet and she picked him up after about 25 mintues.
By the time he got home he was full of it but thought it was a bit too noisy...
Who said there is no noise at the Keepmoat.
Special mention to the steward who facilitated the exchange.

I used to take mine in at half time till he could last a full match. Had the added benefit of half price entry, or thats how it was in the conference days, doubt you would get that now
