Played much better 2nd half than 1st. Positioning looked a bit suspect to me. He kept trying to play as a leftback when he was supposed to be playing centre and Hird kept trying to play centre when he was supposed to be playing right leaving some gaping holes on right hand side at times. A top side would have exploited this IMO. Still like everyone else celebrated this draw like a win.

Fun would be one way to describe him... but I have to admit, he's been so much better lately.

Now he's getting fit and all he's doing well.

He's still young though (born the exact same day as myself), and he'll learn alot under SOD.  Showing improvement that's for sure, his positioning at Swansea was top notch allowing him to keep Dyer in his pocket.

The devils advocate here, is it a case where we are that bad that George Friend is looking good to watch?
I thought that he played well at Preston away and then he didn't impress me untill at Swansea away. He obviously palyed well last night and I hope that his good form continues.

Is this the same George Friend that should never play for the Rovers again?  Or have we signed another one?

I thought George looked OK but unconvincing at Preston, so I'm glad to hear he's improving
