Saw this report in the Eastern Daily Press and thought I would share it with you all..
There are a couple of comments that I thought interesting. One from Lambert, and one in the post by a Norwich fan underneath..
Rovers had gone into the match hours after chairman John Ryan had attempted to have it postponed because of a lengthening injury list – but he saw his side end a rotten run of form with a point they perhaps barely deserved.
“We never got beat,” said Lambert. “I played under one of the greatest managers who always used to say if you can’t win a game make sure you don’t lose it. We tried everything we could to win.
“I just think it is disrespectful to Doncaster for people to say they have not got a lot of players. The lads are honest professionals who try and give everything they can for the club.
“I never see an easy game, I’ve never been involved in one so I never expected this one to be easy.”
To read some of the posters on here, I sometimes think they too have forgotten that the lads DO give their all each and every time they step onto the pitch...
Perhaps too much time is spent playing football Manager where you can control your players in cyber land..
The second comment, from a fan made me think of a chap called John from sheffield who comes into the shop, he has always had a fondness for Donny so keeps upto date with what we are doing..
'Canny move Ryan made wasn't it' he says, 'Making Norwich think he hardly had enough to make up a team for a five aside game'
I hadn't thought of that, but clearly that is what the Norwich fans at least believed as shown by the reply to the article.. ha ha haha...

I liked the comment on one of the Norwich forums that said something along the lines of,
'we never turned up at all, never got going and it was our worst performance for a very long time. In fact the last time I remember us playing that badly was a couple of years ago against..........Doncaster Rovers!!'
Oh the irony!
