I think the most plausable explanantion is maybe they have deleted all the crap!

Should have seen me this morning then... Typed out a lovely post, was snappy and although I say so I thought rather good.. took the time to twiddle and tweak it... pressed submit and..................poof it had gone.. i'd timed out.....

I know some will say well you should have copied it, but I haven't had to do that in months and months....

but now I'm back to this..

Call me sad, soppy or girlie, or a sad soppy girlie even, but I do love this forum... As long as it works in what ever form , I'm happy..

What's the point in keeping thousands of old posts? I'd have thought that if your number of posts goes down it makes you look less sad doesn't it? Take all mine away, I don't care. Noone reads 'em anyway.

This might only be a problem for people like me with sad cheap little monitors, but the page numbers of a long thread like this go off the edge of my screen and I can't click on to next page, have to go back to index.:angry: But there are things I like about this format, like being able to move to different sections using that drop down list:)

and yup I have to sign in each time too..

I use Firefox which allows you to save your session, so next time I come on I'm still logged in. Haven't had to log in for ages and it never times out.

I've usesd Firefox for aeons. Although it remembers all my other passwords etc and logs me into loads of sites automatically, it's never used those for this site to log me in automatically. I have to type 'B' in the log in box to prompt it to put in all the rest. I've always assumed it's something esoteric in the settings on my pc - but maybe it's not?

Seems like I'm not alone in the case of 'missing posts'. Several people been upset by this stealth nicking of balls and points.:angry:

I can't even remember how many posts I had before. I suspect it was towards the 1800 mark, but I'm not really too bothered. If the forum works better as a result of me having a lower post count, then I'm all for it!

I was right close to 1000 posts too...ah well.

I'm sure everything will be worked out soon...although I am dreading that 503 ERROR page on match days cropping up again.
