T.V games on a saturday are usually 5.15 kick off but it seems the only reasonable suggestion

its a shame its 7.45 coz we wont be back in time to watch our 30 seconds on the league show  :(

Rovers can`t even get the basic info correct, apparently all the championship fixtures have been brought forward a day but kick off is 12-45pm, WHY is the info Rovers release so vague? :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I see the league consulted the BBC and Sky, but no mention of any consideration to any clubs fans.
Wonder how many have already booked train tickets or hotels .

I agree, and it stinks! TV runs football, the fans are not a consideration!

Lets look at the positives. Its a Saturday night, anyone who is not planning to go to the game lets all go Hogans or Walkabout and get pissed to celebrate staying up.

Sick of seeing these places full of Man Utd and Liverpool 'fans'. Lets have a good old Rovers piss up.

The football league is saying all of the games are at 12:45... but the Rovers say its 7:45. Apparently the league are choosing games for TV after the penultimate round of fixtures and will be announcing which will be on sky or bbc on the 2nd of May...

Apologies. Steve Utley has just confirmed on the Sine FM Rovers Takeover Show that it is a 12.45pm kick off and not 7.45pm like the Facebook page says.

Why should you apologise? it`s the club that have dropped a bollock on their FB page, thet haven`t been arsed to correct it yet either! they are a bunch of amateurs, they really do start to grind you down with their consistent incompetence!

EDIT: they`ve just put it right on FB at last!

What would be nice is if somebody, anybody, would actually give a f**king reason. Fine, the Rovers FB page typoed...but even the damn football league gave no reason for moving all the games...they've just said 'we've moved them after talking to the clubs and TV'. No mention of a reason WHY. Is anybody in a position to find out?

The Rovers FB page may have typo`d but after being told about it they still took an age to correct it, causing confusion, also why is nothing on the official site to put this confusion to bed? I agree a full explanation would be better, even a copy and paste from the Football League site would have done, not the vague duff info they did put out. For the record it looks like Sky and the BBC have instigated this change, without any regard for fans that may have already booked train tickets etc.

All Championship games that weekend have been moved to the same time for \"potential TV coverage.\"

Although it is annoying that TV companies dictate when the football fixtures are played, you can see why they've not yet made their mind up on which games will feature on telly. I mean, there are a few games that could potentially have something riding on them come the final day:

Palace v Forest - Palace may need something to stay up, Forest may need something to go up.
Middlesbrough v Rovers - Hopefully not, but one/both teams might need something to avoid the drop.
QPR v Leeds - One/both may need something to secure promotion/a play off place, or in QPR's case the title.
Scunthorpe v Pompey - Again, unlikely that Pompey will slip down there, but if they go on a bad run, there could be something riding on this in terms of relegation.
Swansea v Sheff United - Again, it's a case of Swansea might need something to gain promotion/play offs, Sheff United might need something to stay up, although their current form suggests it'll be done and dusted by then.

I think you can guarantee that they'll be focusing on the top end of the table and showing a game that affects the title, promotion or the play-offs. On that basis, QPR v Leeds looks a shoo-in. The other choice will probably depend on who is in second/ third/ fourth place on the day.

Hopefully we won't need to get anything from the game!
