Brilliant performance lads!

Has to rate as one of the most unexpected but welcome results of recent times. What a performance to get a result tonight, well done lads! Norwich didn't play well according to their commentators, where have we heard that before?

Lost a few quid but well worth it!

Wasn't it you that said that around about this time of the season, we'd get points from the most unexpected venus, VD?

Can only echo that!

This should give us a massive confidence boost going in to Saturday.

By the sounds of it, the two new-boys, Euell and Moussa must take immense credit. Sounds like they both put in a great shift for the team - great attitude for a pair of short-term loanees.

Good then back us again VD.
Great result in all seriousness and a credit to the manager for preparing them well under the circumstances. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Must admit, I'd pretty much written us off from getting anything from this game and expected another heavy defeat (I don't think I was alone in doing so). For the team to come from behind and get a point at Norwich would have been an excellent result even with no injuries. This is an outstanding result considering the difficult circumstances and is a much needed confidence boost for the team and the fans.

More of the same on Saturday and we will hopefully get a point (which I think would be another decent result) at least.

Holt and Aaron Wilbraham both had further chances before Doncaster deservedly equalised in the 83rd minute.

No fluke. sounded like bloody hard work and credit to the players for getting the reward.

More of a spring in the step going to the ground on Saturday now.

It sounded like the team grafted hard and that SO'D's tactics were spot on.

Great result! Nice one Rovers! :scarf:

Wish I had said, but someone else can take the credit for that!

Bet the Norwich chairman is wishing he'd agreed to a postponement now, and I bet JR is over the bloody moon that they didn't!

Listened to the whole game (as usual)

Yep it was hard work

Norwich probably created more chances than Donny

But.....We held them and throughly deserved our point from what I heard!

Give us any two of Hayter, Sharp or Coppinger and we'd have won it....simple as!

( from what I heard though, I'd keep Moussa :scarf: )

You were not alone, I was saying to my mate after the swansea game that it just doesnt seem to get any easier with us going to norwich and I immediately wrote us off for a battering but all credit to the team and I hear that the fans played a little part to.
Well done boys!

This sort of mentality is how we got where we are today, never classed as the best by many, but what we lack in ability we make up in effort.

With afew more faces available on Saturday (hopefully) any sort of result will give both the players & fans a major boost

Every player a hero. We didn't have a bad performance on the pitch. The mistake Norwich made was that they thought that they could out football us.
Maybe if they had been more like Portsmouth (perish the thought) they might have beaten us.
You could see how much it meant to all of the team last night both during and after the match. I came away not only vry happy but very proud.
Well done everybody.:scarf:

What a well-needed result. By listening to it, I made out that the thing that got us the point was hard work, something that's been missing the past few games.

But something did occur to me, if you look at the line-up last night, every single player who started should really be looking to fight for a starting place. Excepting Billy and Coppinger (who are dead certs every week), the others playing last night aren't really bargain basement players (excepting perhaps one left footed defender?). So, what I guess I'm saying is that perhaps the draw wasn't the best result we could have hoped for with the players we had out there?

The press have really singled out Moussa for lots of praise. I hope he extends the loan.

\"the others playing last night are'nt really bargain basement players (excepting perhaps one left footed defender?)\"

Take it you're refering to George Friend, the guy who was probably mom last night as well as Saturday.
You really are a first class cnut Benaldo.

add onto that all the slagging off you have given Mark Wilson and Sam Hird in recent weeks, now you make them first team regulars!! I stand by my earlier assertion - you are Ken Ricahrdson and I claim my 10 bob!

Not half the brains of Ken Richardson, and doesn't seem to like anything about the team. All our players go along a nd try their best every match, I would be amazed if they didn't. It is just that sometimes it doesn't work, last night it did, and they can feel rightly proud, as can a young man from Leicester! I just hope that ALL the supporters get behind the team Saturday, even if we go down, so that rules Benaldo out.

Nope, though I did meet uncle Ken once while in custody.

I hate to take issue with you, but if I'm not a happy clapper then I think that's a good thing. Like it or not, I have my views, which is the purpose of this excellent forum isn't it?? My views aren't always full of praise, sometimes they are, but I think you need two sides to every story otherwise it would just be a forum of sh!t lovers, beaming with joy every time one of our players scores an own goal. I do support Rovers, I pay my money, clap, cheer when we score, so I guess I'm no less of a fan than anyone else on here? I didn't realise there was an unwritten hierachy of fans where one set of views is the only one allowed?
So what if I don't rate a couple of the players, does it really matter? Yes, we all know I don't rate Hird and Friend at the moment, but I doubt they give a toss what I think, and they'd be right, I know as little about football as you all do on here, unless one of you is arsene wenger, alex fergusson, and not, as I suspect, rampant championship manager addicts?
Whether you like it or not, Rovers are going through the crappest period on the pitch (and you could argue, off the pitch too) in 10 years. I don't like the fact. There are many reasons why we're in the position we are, unfortunately, having to field a few under par players is one of them.
Yes, I do support Rovers, have done for ten years. I've spent a good amount of money too that I'm sure has gone to the club. I don't like it when Rovers lose and I'm happy when Rovers win.
All this \"get behind the team\" and \"WE need to be positive\" stuff, I agree with, but I don't think we'll get very far if we all pretend everything is ok, when it clearly isn't. Questions people on here have brought up about the lack of signings, the injuries, ticket pricing, match day experience, have all been discussed openly and with good reason and with good debate. But......woe betide anyone who critises a player, the manager, the tactics. It's viewed as \"not getting behind the team\" when actually it's a deep desire for the team to do well which drives it from my point of view. I just don't keep quiet and get bullied into saying everything is going to be ok when I don't think that way. However, no-one in the club gives a monkeys harris what any of us say on here either way; the happy clappers and the doom merchants. And that is perfectly clear when you listen to the interviews and public meeting minutes involving the chief executive.

Ok here goes. Sulli one reaction save. Hird Played well but no right back for me. Thomas Poor game. Some bad first touch. Gave ball away a few times. Thomas not helped by trying to marshall defence entire first half as shape was poor. When mills bombed on Friend went left everyone shuffled over one leaving huge gaps on the right which I am amazed were not exploited. Thomas clearly telling Hird and Friend who to mark up and where to position themselves at times.Good to see him being brave enough to get forward for corners although this didn't work for him on this occasion. Friend good 2nd half not overly impressed with first. Not a central defender for me although I've heard others say differently on here. Mills almost everything went through him but this made things look rather disjointed at times. Keegan broke things up OK. Wilson had a quiet game throughout nothing good or bad. Stock played really well with good passing until he got tiered and was subbed. Oster much better 2nd half than first but had his usual touch of class about him. Moussa played really well and was probably my man of of the match. Euell held things up well heskey like and can see him getting a  response. Got the draw more through effort than anything else. Good to see good work ethic. Well those are my thoughts for what they are worth. Well done rovers.

Benaldo, I think everyone on here knows that everyone has their own opinions and are entitled to express them how they wish on a Rovers forum.

I think people may have taken issue to the fact that what I intended to be a thread to praise a pretty remarkable result at Norwich somehow tempted you to have yet another go at Friend. Yes you're entitled to your opinion, and I'm sure GF doesn't lose any sleep over it, but the thing is we all know your opinion, so your need to keep repeating it is bordering on obsessive. Is he shagging your sister or something?
