I don't give two hoots who we play in pre-season friendlies. For me, their function is to get the players ready to perform on the opening day of the season. That and maybe the opportunity to look at a couple of potential signings.

Let's just hope its now another pre-season tour of the south with some strange results! I personally think it would be good to play some competitive matches early doors to get up to some sort of level before the first game. The problem is with friendlies now is that they aren't as competitive as they once were. Full team changes during a game aren't uncommon are they?
