Paul talking about switching interest from Sharp to Chopra....

“Negotiations were ongoing but once we knew Chopra was available we quickly changed our target because I think he’s as good as you get in the Championship.”

Yeah right Paul, i.e. you couldnt get your man and so you thought up a feeble excuse why you changed your target to lardy boy, besides when was Sharp ever available???

I agree with Jewell. Chopra = goals.

Why not go for him when he couldn't get Sharp, they are very similar in the way they play though, in my opinion, Chopra is a bigger cheat than Sharp.

Jewell seems to be another Billy Davies- one who likes to conduct his negotiations through the media.

From Sky....

Speculation:

We brought you news earlier that Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell is keen to sign a new striker and, according to the Reading Chronicle, he has made an offer for Royals forward Noel Hunt.

Still not billy tho :)

And....

Speculation:
Blackburn Rovers' experienced striker Jason Roberts has dismissed speculation he will join Ipswich Town this summer.

Think Jewel is trying to buy up every striker he can think of?

You would, wouldn't you!!

9 goals from 29 appearances Chopra got last season, Sharp got 15 from the same number of games. Plus Chopra put on loads of weight and his drinking/gambling problems came to light again.... I know who I'd rather have out of the two!!
