Usual method would be to go into BIOS and change boot sequence to BOOT FROM CD then restart it with the original windows cd in and follow instructions.   You will lose everthing on it though.

Or alternatively, buy a new 2.5\" hard drive for about £40 for a 320GB model, swap it for the infected one, and do a clean install of windows/linux/whatever.  Then buy a 2.5\" usb drive caddy off ebay for about a fiver and put the old drive in it.  Plug it into your new machine and salvage the pictures, etc, you dont want to lose.  Then once you've done that, reformat that drive and you have a handy backup device in case something like this happens again.

Rob, have you ever upgraded a Sky+ box to a 1TB hard drive and salvaged any saved recordings from the old hard drive using copy+ I just wondered if it`s as straight forward as it sounds when reading up on it
