Sheff Utd Game Tonight
« on July 26, 2011, 10:44:27 pm by Filo »
Pretty decent workout, passed Sheff Utd off the park first half without any cutting edge, Second half we looked more menacing up front with Brown and Vine to aim at, Vine looks classy, I just wished he had a couple more yards of pace. The trialists that impressed me were the lad that came on centre midfield in the second half, I think it was Mark Carrington, and the Spanish looking lad out on the right. Bouhena (sp) looked a little dodgy to me, Bogdanovic got round the back of him a few times, made one glaring mistake early in the second half but redeemed himself with his recovery. Oster, needs to get out of the habit of thinking he`s a world beater in the wrong areas of the pitch! And Sheff Utd were shite!

I'd agree with most of that Dave. Copps had a quiet one, but Oster ran the show. He was everywhere.

Oster frustrates me at times, he try`s to be too clever sometimes when he gets the ball deep from the CB`s and very often gets caught in possesion or loses the ball putting us under pressure. Carrington, who came on for him in the second half looked a more natural player in that position, Oster needs to be further up the pitch if he`s going to try his flashy stuff

Well, if not letting the Blades have the ball for most of the first half is poor, what are they? On that showing Sheff utd won`t be troubling the play off places in league 1 next season, that`s for sure!

Don`t think Turner played did he, unless he was their keeper in the first half down the other end, Mcdonald was one of their better midfield players when he came on in the second half

For what?  Watching the game pass him by?  He hardly got a kick. No loss to us, moving on.....

Par for the course if you're a Sheffield United midfielder. All they need is tolerant neck muscles so they can watch the ball sail over them to get good reviews on BladesSad.
