What the players need is confidence. They are adults and they are professional footballers, it's not primary school and we don't need a teacher shouting at them or writing their name on the board if they perform poorly. We have good footballers, the manager's job is to give them the confidence to go out and express that to the best of their ability. Nobody can argue with the fact that we didn't do that on Saturday, but in the games prior to that we have had a real go at much bigger and better teams.Too many people can't see the wood for the trees.Brighton - on the crest of a wave and spent multiple millions this summer. Now sitting near the top of the leagueWest Ham - do we need to spell it out?Nottingham Forest - expensively assembled squad amongst the favourites for promotionDerby - spent lots in the summer, full of confidence, won 4 out of 4 nowDoncaster Rovers (for those that seem unable to grasp the simple concept) - smallest budget in the division, 10 players out with injuries including top goalscorer, second top scorer, on Saturday the third top scorer, captain.....Just think about it! Did you expect this season to be easy? Did you expect we wouldn't lose games? Do you think playing without 10 key players, several of whom are key first teamers would not affect us? Just try and think a bit further than simply \"sack him.\" It's a brainless and thoughtless response to the current situation.Another diabolical thread started. Never thought I would agree much with Norfolk N'Chance but the point about the fun and enjoyment being lost is a fair one. Too many idiots that moan at everything, have nothing constructive to say, seem only happy if they are compaining and fail to see what a difficult situation we are in.
