And if we were to sack him like other clubs did with their managers after a poor run of form, we may end up following them to the league below, as the Sheffield clubs found out.  Sticking with SOD has helped before and to be honest I'd be giving SOD stick if performances weren't ok.  But performances are ok and in football no team ever gets relegated playing poorly.  Last season we looked poor in my opinion but we look much stronger this season.  Results will come, but with so many players out and around 10/11 new players it will take a bit of time.

To be fair SOD did brilliantly with little money in the summer.  Brown, Bennett, Barnes, Spurr, Naylor and Mason are all very good signings IMO.  In fact I'd go as far as to say Spurr and Bennett particular look like absolute steals.

I saw last night as more of a run out for players in need of fitness, ie Hayter getting 90 minutes and getting JOC and Stock out there, probably a better idea than throwing them in saturday and hoping for best.

I wasn't expecting much but the team seemed to play well and it was obvious they all enjoyed each others company on the field. Our Passing game was at it's best and for the first time in a while we looked a real threat on the counter attack. It looks as if the jigsaw pieces are fitting together and I'm 100% we will come away with something come Saturday. Be it a point or 3, Our season starts here...

Although we started like a house on fire - we never sustained it, yet again conceding a late goal! If we don't beat Bristol on Saturday surely SOD and ROK have to go. Its a results business and we can't keep hanging on to past glories.

Oh dear oh dear. Someone else that can't see further than the last 90 minutes.

Please give some proper thought to what you post DJ. Take into account all the well documented FACTS about the current situation at the club regarding player's injuries, budgets and the plethora of other things the SOD & ROK have to contend with, and I think that you will see that although all is not rosy in the garden, there is a VERY long way to go in the season. With players on the verge of returning to matchday fitness and the all too obvious frustration JR & all at the club are going through, the results we need will start coming in very soon and we should be ending the seaon with a top half finish.

Keep the faith.
