When he came on today he changed the game completely, (as well as sharp ofc) but he brings energy and pace to the team as well as skill.. i think he should start on tuesday night!

To be sure, those three Palace defenders weren't expecting what he did the first time he got the ball - went between a pair of them like a hot knife through butter.

I'd bench Copps Tuesday and start him, seems a no-brainer.

Agreed. Copps seemed really out of it today.

I think Copps has looked off his game for a good few weeks now, i'd be inclined to bench him in favour of Lalkovic or Bennett for Tuesday night.

Ps. Been reading the forum (and the old one) for a good few years now and decided to bite the bullet and join :byebye

Personally, I'd have Bennett in for Hayter.  Thought Hayts looked to be running in treacle at times today, whereas someone with a little pace (as evidenced by Lalkovic) would have got some joy against Palace's defence.

I think DS was about to make that swap too, but changed his mind.

If were playing 3 up top then the thought of Billy, Bennett & Lalkovic up front makes me mildly moist  :rtid:

We've got him for another month so for me he's got to start every game. A very cocky player with great skill, reminds me of Ronaldo. He wants to show off and is a joy to watch. Someone near me said he was greedy. I f**king love that kind of player when they're on your side. He's top class.

Not a bad idea either.  Our cup doth truly overflow in that area.

However, somebody had better tell Dave Morris to throw away the reams of SOD-era blank teamsheets with \"James Hayter\" overprinted next to one of the spaces, and get some new ones made up instead.

Yep.  I bet DS has them in today to have an extra day looking at them.

I suspect reputations will get you nowhere, which is how it should be.  Interesting how yesterday's team could be considered a little \"safe\" in that it was all the most experienced (and fit) players.

The bench of Woods, Lalkovic, Hird, Bennett and the returning and not match fit Billy bears that out.

Quality player, would LOVE to see him here for rest of the season. He is a player we desperately need, a bit of flare, good pace and definately not scared to charge at their players.

He opens play up to create chances, will run and try a shot. It's a pity his curling shot didn't go in, but I'm sure he'll get one soon

Given that it all happened so suddenly I'd be very surprised if Saunders had picked that team on his own and that Mr M Walker had a massive influence on it.  Tuesday's and definitely Peterboro's team could have a very different look to it even without any new additions from the loan market.
