Lip service!

JR comes on Sky and says he always wanted Saunders to replace SoD, that contradicts what he said the previous night on Radio Sheffield!

Saunders said he got a phone call last night and it all happened from there, he said he watched 2 DVD`s last night of the previous 2 games to try and see where we can improve, now call me a cynic if you like but, did he conveniently have the DVD`s in his DVD library at home, presumably he was at home, in or around the Wrexham area when he got that phone call out of the blue, in my opinion, this has been lined up since at least the end of the Reading game, if thats the case why did JR agree to the interview with Radio Sheffield the other night? a massive PR own goal if you ask me!

JR doesn't help himself does he? I really wish he would stick to what he's good at - running the club - instead of courting the media at ever y opportunity! He's better off behind the scenes than making gaff after gaff in public.

It seems possible to me that JR wanted SoD to stay, but was outvoted by other members of the BoD. So speaking to the media as JR is not the same as reporting a collective decision.

If other BoD members wanted a change, they could refuse to continue financial support, and JR is then between a rock and a hard place.

Personally, I thought SoD would get the chance to turn it round once Billy, Brown, Stock and Mason were back in. If that didn't work, then time was up. Maybe 3 or 4 games more.

It will be interesting to see the reactions of players who have grown up with SoD, how they respond to new ideas.

I just hope Saunders is not a rush appointment. If the BoD decided Thursday to replace SoD, then it either means Saunders was lined up or we just did a quick trawl of the options.

Patchy record at Wrexham tbh, but the off-field difficulties at that club have been major.

I have become very cynical about this with regards jr, it seems his pr has worked wonders on some, I feel he came on radio Sheffield to let fans know\" nothing to do with me\" comments on facebook about people worrying if he will stay, once again the fans feel sympathy for jr. I hope I'm wrong. I hope all goes well for the new man, but the club and board members went down in my estimation today.

It was said at the press conference that Dean lives 6 miles away from John, so the meeting took place at John's house. I think JR may have a few DVD's lying around...
