Love him absaloute top player. I cant rember a game when he didnt gt MOM! SOD found a little gem here heading for the prem. Cant see suanders finding players like friend, Bennett, mills, stock etc so many more. Not going against saunders here im fully behind him whats done is done but i cant see him bringing in players that are gems. I honestly think that this Willie Mckay is the one that ultimatley got SOD sacked

I don't in anyway pretend to know how a football club is run but I would have thought that it wasn't just SOD who spotted these players and monitored them. I guess the club have scouts who watch games and recommend players to the manager and board. It's then up to the manager to decide whether or not he wants them.

Who's to say that Saunders won't use the same scouts and maybe invest in more so we can pick up talent from the lower leagues.

I'm not writing him off just yet, he's got a lot of contacts in football and I think he will do just fine.

Dare to dream,Don't forget there are players who SOD has decided against and got it wrong,vaughan was one for example.Also Friend was a second choice after Kennedy turned us down in the end to join Leicester,So was Kennedy actually Sod's first choice?I think our scouting system is better than realised.Time will tell if Deano will be the same.I think what will happen is that Deano will sign good players,but bring in players of a different type/style,Strikers who's first job is to do whats needed in the box first,big stronger players who can take a few knocks etc.He may find a few gems himself,to suit his style.I remember watching John Fashuna playing for lincoln reserves at Harworth colliry.With a year he had signed for Millwall and in 2 yrs he moved onto Wimbledon,so Big physical players can be found as gems Too.
