We cannot sign these players the club will end up like Plymouth, Leeds etc in administration we cannot spend money on players. Sound familiar to people!!!!!!!

By the way it's only sarcasm.

Centre half and goalie still to sign???? I hope.

No need to apologise,I and many of us Im sure, remenisce about the good old days and Belle vue.But just remember like I do,that its alot easier and alot quicker to drop back into those days if the club ever gets run by some poor management, than it is to get to where we are now from where we was.

Exactly.

John and the KM2 have a business model and WILL NOT ALLOW us to be in that position.  The short term priority is to get ourselves up the table as quickly as we can, and if some quality players on short term, low risk deals can achieve that (without breaking the bank) then all well and good.

You know what John is like - he really does \"dare to dream\" and he genuinely sees the playoffs as in our reach this season (with a couple of personnel additions)

Not impossible but difficult, when Sunderland went up as champions they had a start like ours, as did Blackpool. The money is a little worrying though, unless Chimbonda and that gang accept low wages (for them, not us!) then the budgets are being blown apart and we join the rest in bankrupting ourselves if we are not careful. I would hate Rovers to become a Plymouth or a Bradford in a few years time.

To paraphrase Sir John from a few years back, \"Destination Premiership!\"

Well it was only a couple of weeks ago we had no cash to splash to get anyone new in then suddenly volla........So who's to say suddenly the magic pixies haven't put some new pennies in the wage pot too..... ;)

Exctcly, who's to say JR and the KM2 havent said to each other, \"OK chaps, this league (with the exception of a couple of teams) is wide open.  If we all cover what we said we would, and all put another £500k each on top into the player wages pot, could we make the playoffs?\"

Speculation on my part, but I can assure you JR is smarting from our poor start.  These last 2 results will have perked him up no end.

Just for my tuppence worth....I have read with interest the concern of 'where has all this money come from'? My instinctive reaction is, there isn't any changing hands.....at the moment. As a business man....I am being offered better employees for free if I use them for 3 months or so, they perform and impress potential buyers, an offer comes in for them. At that point I receive a small percentage of the offer. In essence a win-win situation. No wages to pay, no signing on fee, nothing. I would snap their hand off........

Would it be possible for us to go bankrupt ?we cant lose a ground we dont own. The banks wont lend so we cant run up an overdraft. The only thing is for directos to loan money to the club which they would find almost impossible to recoup from any new adminstration who would only have to wait to pick it up for a pound by pulling the old administration scam. Even hmrc are have tightened up on late payment so we couldnt even run up a big tax bill.players are first in line for payment so that only leaves the council who would never enforce payment and they may even top slice the management fee off ticket sales.

Got to totally agree with the first post, during the first half performance and what's gone on it felt like this wasn't DRFC.

Exactly right, it is impossible.  The directors dont loan the club money, they buy the equivalent value in shares.  The club has no debt as the Directors (well, three of them at least) fund the shortfall through the shares methed, hence the club owes no-one anything.
