I concur and can I make a sggestion to the VSC Exec. How do we show support to JR in the future with our funds? Let's do what Hollywood has failed to(I mean they make films about shit rounders teams coming good which pales into insignifficance compred to our revival) and contribute to a film showing what JR has done, the ending would be of the squad parading through Donny having achieved promotion to the prem and the Queen Knighting Sir John in front of a full sized statue of the Mallard in front of Donny station which John funded himself. Dare to Dream? John has and far more. As the 70's cult tv shows theme sang 'All Aboard' but not a double decker!

Carry on Sir John because no one else is worthy. :rtid:

Legend of a man. Should be a demi God round here :P

Very nice chap. At the Derby home game last season I was sat with my sister up in the South, all alone, so we shouted him over and he even came up the stairs for a nice chat and sign stuff for us.

if he was a demi god that would surley make him a demi john
i`ll drink to that

I wonder if John misses the fish and chips at Northwich as much as I do, the one near the old Drill Field. Best chip shop in the world IMO.

But then he doesn't live far from there so maybe he calls on his way home like.

....or Boston. Still has same coat an all. Can't be that wealthy ;o)

If anyone else had been running this club and the events of the past few weeks had happened I would have been terribly worried. While ever JR is in charge the club is being looked after. I have ultimate faith in him.

What I like about JR is his passion, hard work and commitment, his nouse, his down to earth and personable attitude, and his money - a top combination :) He's a big man, and I'm proud to have one of THE best Footy Directors in the game at our club.

Premiership?! We'll be having much more than a laugh! Thing is, I believe it can happen. Lets hope the folks of Donny can support this push :clapping:

Look John, we've seen films like 'Brassed off' local success from adversity type films. The bloody turgid 'When Saturday Comes' and more recently we've seen the excelled 'Damned United', probably one of the best football related films ever made.

The storyline is there, except it's fact not fiction. There may be a chapter left to be written but film producers/directors ought to be knocking on your door right now mate.

Top bloke and we are lucky to have him.

How many other chairmen would have a club minikit in the back window of their Bentley?

I agree with all the positives on this thread, JR will be remembered as a Rovers legend long after we have all gone.
Don't forget John, the whinging bleeders on here are but a fraction of the true supporters you have at your side.
I know the hurt you must feel at the sometimes thoughtless comments that are posted on here, but just think of the things you have done for this club, and never think to yourself, \"why do I bother\". Instead, be proud of what you have achieved, and always remember your true supporters will ALWAYS be at your side wherever your journey takes us. RTID.

Have to say that the Donnybobs of this club are in a minority. 99% of the supporters are 100% behind JR and probably always will be. He's never ever let us down, he's brought good times to this club and his motives are without reproach.

I just hope JR reads some of this thread (and ignores foreskin stu) and realises that the overwhelming majority of fans still totally appreciate what he continues to do for the club, even in difficult times.

Hats off to JR again. Being a Rovers fan has never felt so good.

Sometimes 10 people moaning can seem like hundreds as it's so bloody loud, but when you look deeper into it you realise it is only a tiny fraction. I have always hoped, and will always continue to hope that you see this, John. The majority remember where we came from not so many years ago, appreciate where we are now and truly worship you. I'm completely athiest, but there's one God I truly believe in!
