We've already had some of these players some are worried about at the club and guess what? Dean said no so the arguments of puppet and taking just any player offered by Willie are moot. Will DRFC make money out of any new players? Other than covering the wages I seriously doubt it but it would effectively mean that they will have played for free.

'Disrupted' for free more like, it won't work.

Give me proof of that otherwise it's a hollow arguement. Chimbonda/Illunga at present not disruptive.

The model works in France, will it work here? I have no idea, am I concerned yes? Can I state with absolute certainty it will fail as you have? NO because at present there is no evidence to suggest it will.

I understand the reservations but talk of failure is negative for the sake of it.

It might work, it might not. It's certainly in the players interests to put in a shift while they're at DRFC. I just hope no kids are wanting shirts with these players names on the back.

Football is about having heroes, players that are characters, that love the club and what it stands for, and who become immortal for the impact they have on the club and the team. Players that come back in 20 years time with a beer gut and turn out for a 'Legends' side. With this process we're just going to end up with an endless production line of transients coming in and out on a 3 month cycle.

Who are the Alick Jeffreys, Ian Snodins, Paul Barnes', Leo Fortune-Wests, the Billy Sharps of a team made up of a bunch of mercenarys coming in and out of a revolving door?

Keyser
The days where players love the club & what it stands for are sadly fading very very quickly. Football is nothing more than a business now, loyalty counts for nothing even frans loyalty.
You will not get to see one club players anymore!!

Saunders' first 3 games - no Ilunga, 7 points, 2 goals conceded.
Saunders' next 3 games - Ilunga in, 0 points, 8 goals conceded.

New Manager and a lot of luck then we went back to our early season form which also didn't include Illunga. The fact of whether Illunga played or not wasn't the arguement, it was whether he has been disruptive or not and has I stated before there is no evidence. You are obviously against the route we are taking but to disuade others you have to validate your objections so far no one has.

We are worse in the last 3 games with Mckays cronies than in the three previous - that is fact, whichever way you look at it.

Maybe they are just 'bedding in' - though from all the talk you'd think players of that calibre would piss this division (even if Ilunga cannot make the West Ham side).

Anyway, Im sure it will be three points and a clean sheet v Coventry at the weekend, after all, these superstars will be up to speed by then...and there really cant be too many exucses against what is a poor Coventry side.

You give the impression that you would be pleased if we lost on Saturday in order for you to try and prove something.

There is a difference between \"no evidence\", and evidence you \"choose not to recognise\".

Show me the evidence then because I haven't seen any yet. I think you misunderstand my position on what is happening, I'm concerned but as yet it's far too early to make an opinion. Illunga was brought in due to Spurrs' injury, Chimbonda has played in only 2 games and was one of the better players in one. I've yet to see any other new faces being brought into the club only rumours and as a team we are not performing any worse now than we were in the first seven games.

So according to you the 2 players playing in the full-back roles are responsible for the last 3 defeats, not our midfields inability to hold the ball, pass a ball or tackle which has been evident since Christmas 2010. The fact that both centre halves who are contracted to the club were no better either, Billy Sharp missing a one on one opportunity to give us the lead at Blackpool straight after the Blackpool equaliser. The Blackpool keeper getting the MOM award, all this is down to one loan player and one on a short term contract although not the short term contract players who Sean signed at the start of the season who both took part in those 3 games.
