...if you fall asleep again you would be made to read all of VIVA ROVERS scribblings that should be a big enough deterrent for anyone...

A bit like Nightmare on Elm Street? They really are scratching around for ideas now.

Personally I believe Sean deserves massive respect for what he did here. Happened to see him the other day walking down the street, paper & bottle of milk in hand, totally surreal. For the record & in my personal opinion, had he been backed financial wise during the summer, as he hinted at several times, I believe we would have been at the other end of the table, rather than the mess we are in now. That is not a dig at the board at all, their choice, their money, but maybe, just maybe, it could have been so different.

Just to be clear. I know 100% that O'Driscoll was getting the Pompey job but they (understandably now) couldn't/wouldn't pay the compensation to wipe out his gardening leave. O'Driscoll was fuming and went to the training ground last week and had to be escorted off and is now banned.

I never post these \"i've heard\" shite posts, but this time I am going to because the thread dictated it.

This comes from a player who, in his own words, had never seen O'Driscoll lose it like that.

Looks like the Rovers / O'Driscoll relationship has totally collapsed.

Im not trying to knock you, you are obviously confident about what you have written however I cant help thinking why he would have gone to the training ground?

Who would he have had a go at? Saunders? The players?

I might be wrong but the board/JR dont attend training too do they?

I've no idea. Like I say, I don't tend to listen to things like this but was out at dinner when told so felt it was rude not to listen to the person speaking to me. It could well be a load of bull, but can't see a reason for a lie.

None of us have the faintest idea what Sean is owed under the terms of his contract so some of the speculation that has gone on above suggesting his possible greed and wanting his cake and eating it etc are just plain irresponsible, utterly unfounded and potentially libellous.

I have made my feelings on what has happened at the club very clear over the past few weeks but this has nothing to do with SOD personally, this has everything to do with people being as bad as the tabloids and baselessly speculating wildly about something they know nothing about involving someone they dont know.

This is very dangerous.

Imagine the person being talked about in this way was you or someone you loved and you knew everything that was being said was untrue. You would be outraged. So leave this speculation well alone.

Love this. I can just see SO'D kicking off throwing teacups at Mud because he didn't get the Portsmouth job.

I think it's between SOD and the club, nothing else.

In no way is anything above libellous, not even potentially. As you say, its speculation and based on if's. I liked SOD and do wonder what is stopping him progressing. As for what I said about cake and eat it, I stand by that and would say the same if it was my dad, brother or child.

No disrespect Bristol but its easy to say that when it doesnt actually affect you. Do you know the ins and outs of SODs contract? No. End of story.

No disrespect taken kind sir, and herein none intended - oh the joys of pleasant debate :)

The \"story\" is nothing to do with what ARE the ins and outs of SOD's contract, I do believe I said IF... And my views would genuinely be the same no matter who it was, family or not.
