The Big Issue!?
« on December 02, 2011, 10:03:40 pm by Wokingviking »
As a (quite beautiful) child I resided in the leafy suberb of Intake, specifically Arklow Road.  Many of the houses were inhabited by employees of DRFC aka players.  The star resident was Charlie Williams, although he may have lived in Wicklow Road or summat like that since there was still apartheid in Yorkshire at that time.

Later, Stan Andersen was received into the finest house that Goodison Boulevard could offer (and Superstan may still live there?).

Surely the Keepmoat boys could add to this fine tradition by constructing something suitable for our current squad...

... any architectural suggestions fellow forum-frequenters?

I bought a Big Issue once, when I was stood outside that pub at the back of Manchester Apollo waiting for doors to open for a gig. Dunno who I was seeing, may have been Goo Goo Dolls or Blondie... Anyway, guy came up asked if we'd buy a Big Issue off him. Me and Mrs JD had got through a few pints by this time so agreed. Once he'd taken the money, he said the Big Issue he was holding was his last copy, so just walked off... £2 up!!!

Moral of the story is, never trust a bum!! :aok:

As a fellow resident of Intake in my formative years, didn't Steve Uzelac live in Dublin Road?

They could stay in that quaint narrow street in York. The Shambles I think it's called.
