Having finally got round to joining the FSF after SM's latest plea therenews letter has just arrived into my mailbox, anyway in there is a link to the \"Homes of Football\" site

A quick search for Doncaster pulled up some quite interesting pictures...who recognises themselves especially  in some of the older pictures :woohoo:

Think it has moved fairly recently, used to be at Deepdale as I went when we played them on a Tuesday night a couple of years back, but by the time we played them on the opening day of last season it had shut, which was a shame. Not had chance to visit the new one in Manchester but enjoyed having a look before the Preston game.

The Homes of Football has moved to the new football museum which as you correctly say is now in Manchester. I don't think Stuart's collection is available to view yet though as he told me he was having a major clear-out prior to Christmas to make the move easier. His problem at Ambleside was that he couldn't display even a quarter of what he had so it will be a good move for him.

He does still intend to have a display at Ambleside though and I understand he's' taking the opportunity to do some renovation etc. The famous Rovers picture of the red gates at Belle Vue is his proudest photo and currently adorns the cover of his latest book.
