Sky just make it up I'm sure.  Why would those clubs want him he's nothing more than average at best.

If you were Barnes agent going into talks with Rovers, wouldn't you try and drop a story like that to the media?
All part of the game.

I've never known so much speculation (ham fistedly handled like a three year old is in charge) attached to players at Rovers?! It's almost like a well known football agent is doing the pr.......... If this kind of nonsense continues Rovers will begin to look like a desperate, lying, untrustworthy outfit..... Something I had hoped they would never be.

He's (very) slowly been getting better. Wouldn't lose sleep if he went though.

Agree with that but if its because he is just getting fit I refuse to believe it takes 4 months to do so.

The cynic in me hopes its not because he will be needing a new contract soon!

Think he not a bad player personally although having watched him in several different positions not sure of his best I would suggest CM myself as I don't believe he has the trickery for wing play?

Scales beginning to fall from the eyes, Benaldo?

Although I doubt any of this is emanating from Rovers. But we have to remember that the players will have agents. It wouldn't surprise me if the \"£1.85M release clause\" for Sharp has come from his agent- who presumably wants to keep as many clubs interested as possible.

I think agents are the biggest cancer in the game. Of course, there is a legitimate argument that says that because the football authorities and Governments have signally failed to get to grips with the problem that a small club like ours might as well make use of an agent's services to maximum effect. Now there's a philosophical question over which to wrestle!

I work with one of his close friends. He reckons he would reject a new contract in favour of going somewhere else anyway.

Were n`t we his only option in the summer after having trials at several clubs, he`s hardly set the world on fire with us, why would these clubs want him now, has he done something none of us have noticed?

I think with the world we live in now footballers can rely on the great things they did years ago to get them out of their worries, his main problem in the summer was his match fitness, now we have done that (well almost) he can sell himself to clubs, if they ask him why he was useless in his time here he could use the excuse of \"never really got going\" \"wasn't my scene\" \"look at Doncaster Rovers, they would make most players look poor, thats why they are where they are\". Least we forget who does the talking now; agents.
