When do we start the rallying cry!!
« on April 19, 2012, 04:56:07 pm by Rovin Reporter »
Now that we know where we will playing next season, I think the club should be putting outs message NOW about season tickets. The early bird should stopped in favour of the fixed price at the early bird offer that was . Many may think prices should dropped in line with expectations and financial budgets. The. Club has to get its message that it either wants to compete or just stay a float . Too many conflicting options ( I'm no different) and just leaving it untill the final whistle blows at the end of the season may just be to late to get over a reassuring message that we are still upto pushing for something in League 1 .i think we have consentrate on selling next season and leave the on field problems about managment and players to those in charge , after all irrespective who is on the playing side the club will need a full
Stadium . So start now !

Also why not offer a free childs season ticket for any Adult season ticket purchased. I know the kids ST are about £50 but kids are going to be the 'future' of DRFC and its fans.

Ive said before you can't expect people who live in Doncaster and support one of the other local teams to say 'stuff it, i have spent thousands watching XX, im going to give my hometown club a go now.... it just wouldn't happen.

If the club aims for  the younger generation im pretty sure it will put the club in good stead for the next few years and increase the fan base.

I would urge you to check the ST prices and you will find there are Free kids tickets available.

Cheaper tickets have been offered this season. The Club Scout scheme now provides the opportunity to save £50 and the current ST price for those who have not renewed and for any newcomers.

I agree about fixed ticket prices and I would like to hop the club are re-addressing this given League One is now confirmed.

Rotherham have advertised on local radio, what have Rovers done, the odd ad on Facebook?  Rubbish.

Absolutely. I met a guy through work yesterday who noticed I was a Rovers supporter & mentioned he had taken his 7 year old son, who was taking an interest in football, to a recent game, said he loved it & was buying season tickets for himself & his son for next season. Even the dad enjoyed it saying he had not watched Rovers since our Belle Vue days, & was impressed with the Keepmoat. These are the future supporters we need to aim at. Also is enough being done to advertise season ticket prices to floating fans.

This seems to come down to advertising again.

We could do with more open days for kids during the summer with some of the squad there for them to meet etc.

Let people know about what happens in the family stand before the game.

But again these things need to be publicized and not just on facebook or twitter. I'm not sure why this is lacking at the club.  I never see anything around town about the club, which is such a shame.

Cracking idea to bring this back.

Perhaps for this day, they could organise it so that if people are suitably impressed, they could sign 'em up for a ST there and then.

Credit card terminals at the ready !!
