As currently being discussed on an alternate thread, Habib Beye isn't French, Norfolk, he's Senegalese.

My 'issue' with Habib Beye is the one explained above

I may be being slack here, but is it actually a fact that bêye travels up from France just for matches? Or just a rumour?

It was confirmed by the Free Press, Paul Goodwin I think, round about the turn of the year Dickos.

No Norfolk, the fanzine sellers don't currently fly in from France, just Balby, Tickhill and Scarborough

Im not fussed if beye stays or not, overrated in my opinion infact last 3 games 2 of which we kept a clean sheet both away games one against a team that were fighting for play offs and one fighting for survival even if it was unlikely then we play ipswich at home and concede 3 beye plays in the one we concede 3. He isnt dissaplined enough for a cb not just his terrible reccord for picking up cards but also he goes out of position a hell of a lot

Norfolk, I answered objectively and you promptly told me to shut up. A very good player, but I don't think he's conjusive to the club's aims going forward.

i'd keep him on the conditions he trains more than 3 times a week with the squad, isn't on than 1.5k a week and plays right back and the reason hes out of position alot at centre half is down to the rest of the diabolical defence we've had all season by no means am i saying he is brilliant but it's not just him that's made the mistakes and the fact he has barely ever played centre back for any team he has played for.

I`d like to keep Beye, a class act, makes the odd mistake but who does n`t?

The odd mistake! What like allowing Jason Scotland to turn completely round on the edge of the 6 yard box, totally wrong footed and he scores. Beye's a liability and it's compounded by him not training with the team and flying in for games. Locky's proven at L1 but I think the defensive strategist that Deano is will see new blood being brought in

I'm not trying to say that Beye is amazing or anything, but here is what you have said happened:

- Scotland turns Beye on the edge of the six yard box.
- Scotland then scores with his weaker foot.

Here is what actually happened:

- Scotland turns Beye 5 yards outside the area.
- Beye then fouls him with a fairly clumsy and bad challenge.
- Scotland picks himself up to convert the penalty that has been awarded for the foul.

How you turned that into what you did I have no idea.

A challenge that, incidentally, was comfortably outside the box.

Allowing for the fact your description of events are distorted, I did say the odd mistake, you`ve highlighted an odd mistake there is n`t a defender on this planet that has n`t made a mistake, Beckenbauer, Moore, Maldini, Baresi etc, they`ve all made mistakes, and they are amongst the best

He is a massive liability. Number of goals resulting from him messing around with ball at end of box has in cold, hard terms costs us points. Total loose cannon.
