Didn't get much of a crack in his first spell with us but he's shown a lot of desire after dropping in to non-league and then coming back.

Had a faultless game against us earlier in the season and I would have him back.

I remember him having a perfectly good goal disallowed against us a few years back, when playing for Brentford or Leyton Orient or some team.

A good solid keeper then...........

My first thought every time I see him ,,,,, that disallowed goal,,,, vever a foul and denied him a place in the history books

It was not a fluke as he had been practising for 10 minutes before KO and easily dropping the ball first bounce into Asda end 18 Yard box. Then first chance (I seem to remember in first few Mins) BANG one bounce and its in

Always wondered why we let him go and after that ramble I would have him back for sure

You'd feel more confident with him in the nets than what we've got. Quite surprised Notts County released him, maybe he's on a decent screw.
Is Sulli out of contract?

Yeah, pretty sure he only signed a 1 year deal.

I'd definitely consider him. Always given a good reception here for his (admittedly very limited!) contribution to our cause in League Two.

Sullivan signed an extension just after Saunders came, so he has till the end of next season.

Why? Nelson actually played regularly in League One. Has Turner ever done anything to merit being considered a good keeper?

our lass is a wednesday fan, they love Iain Turner, he was great for them on loan, they had him for close to a season before he went to preston, i for one would see him as a decent shout!

Out of the frying pan into the fire springs to mind. He has been released for a reason.

Trouble is, we're going to have to rely on players who have been released. I can't see us bringing anyone in for any substantial sort of fee.

Agreed, but if the player is no better than what we have already, then what's the point, he is, in my opinion, no better.

David Preece is 35yo and made 7 appearances in the past 4 years... Think we need somebody a bit younger in all honesty. Iain Turner with Gary Woods as No2 would suit me fine  :)

We shouldn't be signing a new goalkeeper as old as Sully. We need younger blood in, preferably somebody with experience but still with times on their side - somebody around 26-30 with a pedigree at L1 level.
