Now he's in place I can safely say that I knew about his impending appointment a long time before it happened! I thought he'd be a good acquisition as he's worked wonders with some of his projects in the past!

Before anyone doubts that I knew - check with Silent Majority who I'd pm'd way in advance of the appointment!

Hopefully his (GB not SM - though I don't doubt SM has one too!) keen eye for business models will at last get DRFC beginning to function in a business like way beyond our still-in-the-conference model!

I doubt that's what he wants, but he did take the time and trouble to assure me/us that we would be dealing with a competent and trustworthy individual therefore giving a heads up for our very first meeting.

And now last night everybody got to see what we have been saying for quite sometime, that we are moving in the right direction, both club and fans, and together we can make a huge difference at this club. We've taken the first steps, we have a long way to go, but the belief and trust is there, and with Gavin at the helm it will be a success, of that I have no doubt.
