Dear Mr Shaker0

I'm not sure where the other postcode was for - like you say; Conisbrough is not within walking distance!

Carolina Way (DN4 5PN) is where I park after coming in from an M1/M18 trip back oop north.  Not so bad to get out of after the match (so long as the roadworks haven't re-appeared on the roundabout).

But all other options mentioned are good; lakeside car parks being most plentiful but a pig to get out of.

Carolina Way was completely shut off when I last went into Donny in the middle of July. Slightly annoyed as that's where I used to park too! Assume you can still get to it if you go the back way but then that negates the point of parking there to get away early as you'll still get stuck in all the traffic.

Is the road back to the M18 definitely shut tonight then? If so might give it a miss as I'd be coming straight from work in Sheffield then preferably home on the M18 too. Although as people have said the crowd is going to be pretty small so traffic might not be as much of an issue as it usually is so probably ok to get back to the A1 via Warmsworth Road.

I also park on Carolina way, I will probably do the same tonight as I usually turn round and head back through Lakeside/dome towards Hatfield.

There is usually several parking spaces outside the flats near the lake (on the road) so that is always an option. With fewer in attendance, I can't see traffic being a too bigger problem.

As previously mentioned in this thread, I believe White Rose Way, and access to the Motorway (M18) is closed tonight from 21:00 until 06:00am tomorrow morning.

Can anyone confirm this?

Do we have a Rovers fan in the local highways dept.?......clearly not if this is the case  ;)

Ah well, small price to pay to see the hoops. At least it gives Mrs JD longer at home with her bit on the side!! (Does this mean RedJ will not be attending tonight! ;)  )

How long is the whole road improvements expected to take? It seems to have been going on for ages now.

I always park in B&Q's car park, just a five minute walk over the railway bridge to the stadium. Also pretty quick at getting away after the match.

I've always found the Dome Leisure Centre a great place to park, decent bar showing sky sports free parking & easy exit after the game. Also if the weather is nice a very pleasant 10 minute evening stroll around the lake to the ground.

Surely the link road being closed after the game isn't that much of an issue. Just have a drive down Balby road and go one junction down the A1 and jump on the M18 that way?

Probs about a 10 minute detour, shouldn't put any fan off of going to watch.
