Am I on the wrong Forum

Two games in (three if you count the cup ) and no one is slagging off Deano any more. All those who were calling him all the names under the sun pre-season and at the end of last season and comparing him with SOD should hang their heads in shame. He is now showing us what he can do with the type of player he has brought in, And the kind of battling football needed at this level. I know it's early days but I now look forward to going to matches in the belief we are going to win them,
I had no problem with going a goal down last night as I just knew we were going to win it it was just a matter if time. I hope every one will now stop moaning at ANY player get behind the whole team and manager and keep this momentum of confidence going. I posted earlier that if the crowd has it, It flows on to the pitch and drives the players on.
Calling insults out as some were behind me in the South stand were last night aimed at
G Woods must have the opposite effect. It has to stop I am sure that if the lad becomes a liability that costs us games action will be taken. Until such a time he deserves our support like every other player that pulls on the shirt. It is a confidence game and he must be as nervous as hell at home games so lets all help him out and stop the abuse. RTID.

Well lets let it go now. Deano is our manager and we should all back him.

Deano has got his own players now and is proving he can manage at this level. When it came to the Championship its a very difficult league and what with his hands being tied with these fantastic Ex prem stars it was a step too far for him.
He has started very well this season but he is still on a learning curve and has got the problem of a very small squad.

The sooner the board help him out the better and when he says" I would like to keep Copps" just watch Deano scratch his nose to stop it growing.

The experts on here say he is clueless so he is clueless.

There wasn't that many people slagging him off to be fair. I'd say the majority have been fence sitters at worse.

And maybe when certain posters are seen to get 100% behind him and not have to post snide comments no matter how well HIS team is doing then hell will freeze over.

Its early days this season, great start for us and long may it continue!!! The best time to pass comment on saunders, now he's got HIS team pretty much (put together with difficulty) is at christmas!

I slated him last season, and like many I'm still not won over yet, but now he's got his team together he deserves the time and the chance to prove himself to the rovers faithfull!! I for one hope Deano proves me wrong on what I was saying last season!!

He's done everything that has been required so far this season but I still have reservations about his ability.

Lets not get too carried away yet. Things could soon change, even if I'm very happy with the way we have started the season.

We are only two games in, not twenty.

Ah, but would you have said that if we'd lost the first two games?

I would very much agree with your post as I am not as convinced as some of my fellow 'acid popping' posters on just how good he is as a manager.
He will get my support and no I (like most) have still not been convinced by him ; hence the very weak refrain of ''Dean Saunders Barmy Army'' last night...........it was weak at best. To imply like some of the earlier posters have suggested that both Wellred and I are in a minority is a joke at best.
He has until Christmas at which point I will show my arse in the freezing Donny weather if we are still in the top 4.  Prove me wrong Deano please.

As I've posted elsewhere tonight on this forum, well done Deano. I've been one of his fiercest critics and don't mind saying it. One swallow doesnt make a spring but the footy v Bury entertained and we always looked capable of scoring going forward. It's not the passing of old but you cant have everything. Saunders is ploughing his own furrow. He's a long way to go to compare with his predecessor and that squad but these 2 outings have delivered the right result and seem promising. I'd have happily criticised him from the terraces but only see positives from what he's served up in the game I've seen and the reports from Walsall. Long may it continue so I have to keep eating humble pie. Football..........what do I know ;o)

I thought some of the passing in last nights game was equally as good, if not better than under SO'D.

I don't think the passing was better than under SOD nor will it ever be, but what it has shown in the first 2 games is that we have purpose and look threatening when we go forward, which under SOD we didn't do!

SOD aint saunders and saunders aint SOD!

SOD did a great job here, I just hope deano can write his own bit of successfull rovers hostory!

I think in the 2nd half we passed the ball much better than in the first to be honest

I thought at times last season he was tactically naive and clueless, but he has my full backing to see what he can do this season where it will be easier and he also now has his own team, let's see if lessons have been learned. I think people are split on him because he is unproven at any level in the league, but he does deserve a fair crack of the whip.
