Where to repair my Ipod
« on August 17, 2012, 01:16:04 pm by DRFC-PERKINS »
Hi Chaps, wondering if anyone knew the best place to get my Ipod Touch screen fixed/replaced in town?

Dropped it a while back and the screen just cracked pretty much everywhere.

This guy might be worth a try http://www.mattsiphonerepairs.co.uk/

I know it`s Iphone repair but i don`t suppose there`s much difference replacing an iphone screen and a ipod touch screen

There's one next to Dixons. They're always advertising it for £50 I think.

Its reasonably straightforward to do yourself lots of  you tube videos to show you how and about £15/16 top whack on ebay  for the screen, digitizer and tools just make sure you get the right gen screen,  get the serial/model number off the back and google it or look at the ipod settings/config (can''t remember where it is)

hair dryer half a dozen screws and couple of ribbon cables...............................but don't blame me if you bugger it up  ;)

This guy is good with all things Apple, if you don't want to tackle it yourself.

He sorted my G5 and my girlfriends iPhone out. Only thing is he's based in Sheffield.

Just emailed them now River Don cheers, I tried mattsiphonerepairs but he said i'd be better off sending to apple, but it would cost £80, I've looked at the repair kits but after reading the reivews, it sounds like it could go wrong quite easily.

Oh right, he's a clever lad his name is Craig. Tell him what you've been quoted and see what he Can do.

If he asks say you got his name from Charles in Donny.

If you are not confident get somebody to do it, I've done a couple for family but my job can involve that type of thing it can go wrong and some of the videos on you tube are not totally accurate, but as I said it is fairly straightforward
