I haven't been disappointed with any signing or contract extension so far, it seems like Deano knows his stuff.

Robbie Blake has never been that fit or quick. I don't seem him being a 90 minute week in week out player. I the best we get is cameo's here and there but which are effective, then great.

I agree. Blake's not here to play every week. He will end up on the coaching side imo. He will be helping with the younger players now and that will be a great help to Deano.

Missed out on a fair few this pre-season buzz,Matt Derbyshire and Jose Baxter,Derbyshire especially always been a class player,Oldham got them both,as you probably know both scored today, having said that we got Cotterill who looks a good signing as do most of the one's Dean has signed

Derbyshire's on loan from Forest, so unless Forest are paying most of his wages he'll be costing them a bit. Not sure we could afford him.

Good shout that Red,i was watching the football league show last night, when they mentioned about the contracts just about being up,thing is it doesn't sound like we can offer him any bigger contract than they are, which is a shame,he would be a good signing :scarf:

Job security could be a bigger thing than money though right now. Better off somewhere where he can get 3+ months than a month at a time gamble.

McLeod I believe has his own business in Milton Keynes, so can't ever see him moving too far away from there.

I've always like McLeod and never understood why we didn't go for him. I'm guessing it's pounds and pence again :/

You can be in MK from Donny in a shade over 2 hours.  I reckon Portsmouth is about the same, maybe a little longer?

Edit : Donny to MK = 2hrs 10 mins
         Pompey to MK = 2hrs 12 mins

Better off at Donny, lad!!!
