Wilson hardly got a game, he was here as a stand by so not sure how we've missed him.

I think we've missed having a player like him.

Also, he played about 150 games for us, hardly "here as a stand by" and he had a good period as a first choice player under O'Driscoll doing exactly what Lee said he did for the team.

VikingDon, if you don't like it don't read it. I made sure not to make a post that just said "Martin Woods is shit grrrr", I made several points and the replies have been in unanimous agreement. We shouldn't just ignore blatant issues about the team. This is a forum for discussion about the team after all.

I've only seen two games this season, Walsall and stevenage , he hid in both games.
Then again, if a club I played for gave me the wrong treatment for injuries, leading to me having to pay for my own treatment to sort it out, I'm not sure I'd want to step on the pitch for the club again!

Woods and Bennett were by far the worst two players on the pitch, how they both stayed on for 90 minutes is beyond me. Please please don't let these two start on Saturday.

In the minute leading up to the PNE corner, from which they scored their 2nd goal, both Woods and then Bennett needlessly gave the ball away when it was far easier to find a Rovers player.

Feking useless the pair of them. get some B@ll@cks in the team , Keegan , Harper and Husband it's worked before so why stick with the same old crap.  :(

To be fair the ball should never have been down there, they got a corner from the upteenth foul throw by the full back!

One of the major thing for me last night was lack of options. When Woods passes the ball to a player he just turns away and jogs up the pitch, a player such as the much berated Oster would pass the ball square, fake to run up the pitch and show again for the return ball giving the player on the ball an option, maybe not the best option but maybe dragging out an opponent to give  a further advanced player more space. Apart from lack of conviction and bite Woods does not seem to understand how a centre midfielder should play, admittedly it is hard for him playing in a 4-4-2 with Syers so advanced.

What a stpid thread. It's very boring. Can you lock it? It doesn't contribute anything to my my my my world.
What what what what makes you think it's stpid. And what what what what is 'stpid'?

At the start of the season Saunders said it was like having a new signing with Woods fit. Well new signings from Conference North won't cut it at this level.

How can you just pick out Woods for his performance. They were all pretty shite last night. We should have given Bennett away last summer then we might have been able to keep Copps and seen a difference.
