I thought Jason Minett was crap. The epitome of average - little wonder Nudga doesn't remember him. Never rated Barnwell Edinboro either, but Shaun Goodwin was a great signing.

From memory, I think the Kingstonian fixture was a one-legged final because they played a ridiculous amount of games in the final week of the season.

I cant be bothered to google it but I think they played away games all up north on Sat/Sun/Tue/Thu/Sat before playing us on the Bank Holiday Monday. I think they stayed up north for about 9 days, so they were probably fed up and just wanted to go home by the time we beat them in the cup lol.

Jason Minett! He was the one who stood out to me when I read this thread earlier as an "oh aye, I forgot about him!".

Turns out he retired after spending most of the rest of his career with Grantham Town. Kirkwood became joint-manager at Heanor Town 3 years ago but I can't find anything since then on him.

The name is starting to ring a bell now, but can f*****s like remember him playing.

Skinny kid, floppy curtains haircut.

Hope that helps.
