DROS
« on October 30, 2012, 10:15:33 pm by Chris Black come back »
Just glancing through DROS and bejaysus what a fantastic job is being done by the club (and VSC) - another trial of the cash turnstile, brand new Rovers only bitter being introduced, 10p of other beers, meet the shareholders event open to all, fan memorial garden complete, the list goes on.

If any folk did feel the club lost its way last season then a read of the official site quickly shows that things are now heading firmly in the right direction - and fast.

Well done all.

Glad that was cleared up - I had visions of people wandering around bringing up phlegm and spitting all over the concourse....get enough of that on the pitch  :)

Yes it works.

It was in operation in the East stand last home game.  I bought a pie without having to leave my seat.  The service was great and so was the pie.  I wouldn't have bought anything without it as i rarely leave my seat at half time.

Sales and service might have been even better had the two lads actually advertised their wares and not walked round like a pair of Siamese twins.

Muttley, lets not be too critical here please....Just for a change can we all take it as a positive that these things are happening at all..They are not all going to hit the ground running, but there important first steps to improve service to the fans :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

That is good news though, i've brought my nephew to a couple of games and with him only being 5 it can be quite daunting when the concourses get busy.

If we can get a system working thats similar to what they have at Baseball grounds in America where the food is brought to you then that would be so much better and we'd definatley buy rather than being put off by the crush and ques.  My nephew will end up in being a fat F**ker though :-)

Bringing food to you at Baseball grounds is only in certain high priced seat sections.  The rest have to go to a concession stand or as is most common buy from a "hawker" who tends to sell just one item. ie Beer, Soft Drinks, Hot dogs/Burgers, Candy Floss in a plastic bag and peanuts. These  sellers work off  tips as this is most common over here.

For example you buy  3 beers at $ 9 each and give $30 he earns $3 for serving you. I think in England that system would not work (British people don't tip!!) so the cost of stuff brought to you should be slightly higher to compensate for delivery.

That was intended as constructive criticism!  ;)
