Jim Husband

Just wanted to emphasise this fact as we all take this for granted. The lad is still only 18 years old yet turns in solid, unflappable performances every game. Like he has been playing in the first team for years. Unreal. Go on Jim lad!

A friend of mine who works in the game dropped me a line about James Husband today.

One Premier League club is definitely keeping an eye on him. They rate him fairly highly, but have identified a couple of weaknesses in his game, with his lack of physicality being one of these.

He's rubbish won't get anywhere in the game.

Only thing I'm surprised about is he hasn't made an England youth side yet, can't be far off.

He's 18! A lad playing in a man's game and winning.

He's got everything you need to be a successful footballer mentally and technically, but I do agree that physically he needs to beef up a lot if he's going to make it at a higher level. That's probably the only fault I could pick with him, and it's something that can hopefully be worked on. Top, top prospect though, far better than anything we've seen from the youth team in well over a decade, and he's going to be worth an awful lot to us if he carries on improving at this rate.

try telling Tom Cairney of Hull City he is not physical and he will tell you to b*llocks six weeks out with one tackle

Deano said at the agm Arsenal was sniffing round him and that's why he wanted to get him tied down. This kid will grace the prem. I just hope he stays here or moves somewhere he will play. Last thing he needs is a big move to play in the reserves. Ask Cotts.

Slap a £10M price tag on his head. That's what Southampton or Palace have done in the past.

he's a full back though

your walcott's, oxlade chamberlain and zaha are all attacking wingers or strikers

Clyne went for a fair bit though.

Knowing us though, he'll probably go for £200K.

Doesn't matter. He's young, English, naturally left-sided and talented, in the current market that's worth a lot. I'm not saying he's worth £10m but in the current market where prices are inflated so much we shouldn't be taken for mugs for our best young prospect since Paul Green came through. A big scary price tag is a win-win, it keeps away anyone who isn't serious, and if they are serious, they'll pay it anyway.

And you can support the development of the next crop of James Husbands by making a small donation to the Tomorrow's Rovers project (shameless plug)

Yeah he's definitely a future star! He's been playing amazingly! Was really impressed against Scunthorpe.

Then they have no eyes and no appreciation of the game. He was close to my MOTM on Saturday.
