Loving the Cups this year!
« on January 27, 2013, 05:36:42 pm by LincsRover »
Both the League (sorry, capital One!) and FA cups! Bradford City through to the final, Luton beating Norwich and now Oldham beating Liverpool (still 15 mins left so maybe a little premature - not for the first time!!).

If only the lower leagues got the credit & coverage they deserved outside Cup football!

It's still a great advert for lower league football - this is a cracking game and shows we CAN compete, even if only on a one-off cup tie match.

Love it! Another "top" team bites the dust! Though to be fair, not been a top team for a few years really - Good for Oldham!

Wow, I got chills at the end when the final whistle blew!  Love, love, love, FA cup matches.  Well done to Oldham.

Indeed.  My son is a Chelsea fan.  He's just said "Chelsea scrape a draw with Brentford and get the best result of a premier league side of the weekend.  You'll not say that very often!"

Don't want to p**s on your son's bonfire but didn't Everton, Arsenal, Wigan, Reading, & both Manchester clubs win yesterday?

Best result today though!!   :scarf:

Especially love it when Liverpool get turned over. Jumped-up mid-table also-rans.

I'll tell you what,  if that Coates is a premier league footballer then my dream of playing in the champions league is still alive. I've seen better Sunday league players than that lad.

Great result for Oldham and pleased that Franchise/Brentford have a diversion to tire them out.

Agreed Hoola. Just thinking that myself. Watch their form dip as we approach replay/next round as the player's focus is elsewhere.

Shame that Spurs fans aren't too bothered about a cup run this year.  Heard one on the radio this morning saying this season was all about finishing 4th!  How very very sad.

If they do achieve that this season maybe they could cut out some league tables and stick them in the trophy cabinets!

I still consider them a big club.

I loved that night (except the result).  A cracking outing.

They won't get 4th, Everton will.

We are going for both the FA Cup and fourth though, why not? It's one way to hold on to David Moyes!

Everton away.lost 2-0 Ithnk it was, but played our socks off. Liverpool at Anfield 1-0 down (Keegan) 2-1 up at half time Kitchen and O'callaghan. 2-2 with minutes to go and Kitchen lobs Clemence and its a goal all the way till the crossbar gets in the way. If I'm not mistaken Liverpool were top of the old division 1 and we were rock bottom of division 4.

And Spurs never deserved to win.

Heady days

Regards

Ray
