Griffin did more in midfield in first half than the pointers done all season

Woods gets a pass for being first game back after 2 months out. Copps looked positive tonight, get Woods out wide on the left for Saturday, hopefully Keegan and Fowler will be back in the middle.

Today has got to be a massive kick up the arse for a few players. If I were a CM or Bennett I'd be embarrassed that a full back started in my position.

Whilst we may defend solidly as a unit there's still no cohesion going forward and very little link up play anywhere.

One final thing of note - why do we seem to have changes our strategy at free kicks? We're putting Rob Jones out wide and making him the obvious target so a) he gets marked tightly and b) has little chance to score as is so far out he can only head it back across goal.

First half was Barnsley-away-like. Thought to myself "we haven't really done anything yet" then glanced at the clock and 40 mins had gone already.

He plays like that every time he's there though. I cannot remember him having a good game in the centre in the last 4 years. If he wasn't ready then why was he picked ahead of Fowler?

of course they are relevant! Yes, we played shit. But when you get a decent chance, the last think you need is refs giving free kicks to the oppo for no reason? Or when Copps gets run down from behind, a blatant yellow, and they don't get a card, it spurrs the oppo on to keep doing it?
