Bear in mind Yeovil started very well. Are they playing the same fixtures in reverse now and dropping on to a run of "easier" games.
I've no idea, not checked my theory, just a thought..

Yep, Yeovil have a nice run in. Mostly games against mid-table teams. Only 3 I think against fellow promotion contenders. Definitely building up a head of steam. Next week will be a test.

I think we need a test I'm sure our lads will then step up to the plate unlike the Bury game.

Big, big test for our promotion credentials. Their run has to end sometime though, no reason why it can't be to us.

First we've got to beat Crawley though!

Ay it's that old footy adage..........''one game at a time''.

Good team, but similar to us,two slow centre-backs,if we can get Hume,Bennett and Cotterill round them,we've got a good chance.

Hayter's scored 12 goals for them this season. Should we have done more to try and hold on to him?

hayter probably halved his wages when he went to Yeovil something he wouldnt do if he stayed at Rovers.

I am sure that if we had managed to cut our budget sufficiently, before Hayter's contract expired, then we would have been able to offer him more than Yeovil.  Remember there were a few weeks where we couldn't sign anyone, and a few players left as their deals expired.  Frustrating, but you can't blame the players.

Yeovil are producing the same kind of form that Reading did last year (when they beat us, which gave SOD the sack they were 23rd and kicked on in the second half of the season to win the league).

Yeovil last ten games have been against:

Oldham (W) 4-1
Bournemouth (L) 3-0
Portsmouth (W) 2-1
Leyton Orient (W) 3-0
Sheffield United (W) 2-0
MK Dons (W) 2-1
Brentford (W) 3-0
Coventry (W) 1-0
Preston (W) 3-1
Scunthorpe (W) 3-0

Surpisingly last season in the Championship Reading managed the same with 9 wins in 10 games and from there they maintained a decent form of 1.8-2.2 points to per game to see them win the league. We must be very careful here, Yeovil are a bigger threat at the moment than any other team (apart from us)...

Time to jinx the Yeovil run then by lumping some money on them.

I'll have Hayter first goalscorer and an away win  ;)

Impressive string of results, if only we could do something similar over the next 5 or 6 games.

Remember getting thrashed 4 0 in the conference live on telly, the season we went up possibly, was absolutely gutted

Aye that was a painful match, similar perhaps to when we got trounced by Swansea 4-0 at home in the promotion year too. Both sides went on to beat us to the title!

I remember a certain Michael McIndoe giving us a nightmare that day. And we had the farcical pass back goal where Andy Warrington let his manners get the best of him and handed them the ball to stick it into an empty net!

Hopefully we can avoid something like that this time!
