Replacement Tablet screens
« on February 19, 2013, 03:04:36 pm by Albert Trousers »
Does anyone know anywhere these are available?
Bought a cheap tablet from the lad but he has dropped it & cracked the screen, tried under the makers name (Kocaso) but can't find one but hopefully someone does a universal 10.1 in screen?

Depends on the tablet construction, Trousers.

Some have the glass bonded to the digitiser so they are impossible to separate. You might be lucky and have one where the digitiser is free from the glass.  Does it still work even though the glass is cracked?

Then the digitiser is OK.  YOu might be lucky and have one where the glass can be removed and replaced.

Rob, I checked myself when I got home last night & the touch screen doesn't work.
Reckon as it only cost £100 I not going to be able to get it repaired much cheaper?

Its buggered then mate.  Not economically viable to repair would be my guess.

The good news is that a decent replacement can be had cheaply.  These no-name IPS screen ones are supposed to be good.
