They just assume everybody is on the internet,not everybody wants to be,very disrespectful to the customer paying their money for the service the BBC provides,and suddenly the information on the text pages get's watered down,channel 4 nothing at all now,but their service isn't paid for in the tv licence,a sad loss of information that used to be available at the click of a button
The fact is nowadays very few people are not on the internet. It is as commonplace as a television in this day and age.
Its the branding and marketing that moves people to new 'better' versions that are no such thing. Betamax was always far better quality than VHS, but their manufacturers couldn't match the marketing of the bigger VHS-promoting companies.
8 track was better than cassette. Beta max was better than VHS. Analogue is better than digital TV - you always get a frozen picture, no matter what the aerial man does. Ludditism rules! ;o)
