Belle Vue Bar open this Saturday!!

The club have confirmed that the BVB will be open from 2pm this Saturday with Soccer Saturday on the tv and commentary from either Radio Sheffield or Rovers Player whichever you prefer.

Why not indicate on this thread if you intend to be there so the club can gauge the demand and prepare?

Good opportunity for the club to advertise what people can get out of subscribing to Rovers Player, so would surely make sense to broadcast that rather than Radio Sheffield.

They could even hook it up to show past match highlights and interviews on the screens until kick-off.

This is a great initiative. I agree with the comments above about this also being a showcase and a test for the quality of 'Player' and the level of service. It would therefore be a negative statement about if we opted for the Radio Sheffield commentary.

Not sure if I'll be there yet myself but I look forward to seeing how this develops.

Incidentally, I don't know about other patrons of the Belle Vue Bar think but have the TVs shrunk in size? I think something needs to be addressed in the future with TVs being adequate screen size to help more people see what's going on.

I won't be there as I'm at the game but after going to watch Brentford in there after last Saturdays game there could do with being a big screen in there, at the very least there needs to be some volume coming from the tv's as the atmosphere was shocking in there.

To be fair, Hoola, the club had no say on what went on at the stadium on non-match days until recently, and (quite rightly) focus on matchdays has been the club's priority whilst the season has been in full swing.  Now that the season is coming to an end focus can turn to how the stadium can generate the club some regular income when matches arent on there.

I'm not sure they are allowed to do this, according to the terms and conditions:

"You agree that you will:

4.1.use the Services for non-commercial purposes only without making any gain and that you will not permit any other person or persons to use the Services. This means, for example, that you must not charge for viewing of the Services and that you cannot use the Services to attract others to buy goods or Services from you or anyone else;

4.2.at any given time, only view the Services via your permitted PC and never permit any other person to access the Services. You must keep your password secure and never share passwords or other access codes with anyone or in any way make them accessible to others;

Aye, but I would imagine that in view of them effectively delivering a one-off event in order to promote the product to would-be subscribers Rovers would be able to get special permission from the Football League Player providers if requested.
