I would like paul ashworth, he has uefa a license. But I trust JR and knowing him and our record we'll be in the pl next year.

I still think it will be an up and coming manager, not one whose been around the blocks a few times. We have BF in place to guide a young manager. My choice would be Justin Edinburgh.

I think it could be Paul Cox,working his way up,got a fair few promotions in non-league,moved to Mansfield got them promoted, echoes of Dean Saunders?

We should not bring back Deano in my opinion.

Credit to him for re-building the squad in the summer and setting us off this season but he chose to leave us for 'greener pastures' and I wouldn't have him back now.

He should have kept Wolves up and failed.

Onwards and upwards - don't turn back.

SCwK, good shout for Paul Cox, done miracles at Mansfield, but would he want to leave their or stay to see if he can get them into L1. The Chairman and CEO are ambitious for another promotion I'm sure they will give Cox funds to strengthen their squad. That is why I don't think it will be him joining Rovers, come to think about it if Edinburgh gets promoted he might want to do the same. Though I have read on BBC, that Edinburgh is keen to manage higher up the FL, so perhaps he too is looking at the Doncaster manager's post.

Just had a look at him, very interesting. Could bring in some quality from Eastern Europe

Just had a look at Paul cox too, I think he seems settled in with the system there, and the chairman gave him a DB9 just for a big win

All,

You may be interested in the regulations that apply in the Championship;

40 Manager Qualifications

40.1 Subject to Regulation40.4, with effect from 1st August 2012:-

40.1.1 all Managers in the Championship must hold a minimum of the UEFA A Licence and be working towards completing the UEFA Pro-Licence within 3 years of appointment or 1st August 2015 whichever is the later.
Think this rules out The Corporal

I still got a hunch it could be Justin Edinburgh, especially now he has Newport out of the Conf, a job well done for him. He can leave them knowing he brought them success and League status. He has not made a secret of the fact, that he wants to manager at a higher level of FL football.

Wanting to manage and being able/qualified to manage at a higher level is a little different.
I wanted to be a professional footballer but that didn't happen :(

Justin Edinburgh has now a better resume than Dean Saunders had before he joined Rovers. At least JE can say he got a team promoted, before moving on unlike DS, who has two relegations to his name.

And?
Does that make him able/qualified to manage in the Championship?

There seems to be a bit of groundswell for the current PNE management team. Do they include a few "Old DRFC" players still. I know GS is there, but not sure about the others who were.

Steve Davis and some of the Crewe backroom? You've not got any further (or better) to look for developing youth and plus he overachieves with a very small budget....

Mike Rigg maybe?

Steve Holland?
